Dr. Erich M. Sturgis is a Professor of Head and Neck Surgery and Deputy Chair in the Bobby R. Alford Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery. His surgical practice is focused on thyroid cancer, sarcomas of the head and neck region, and melanoma/non-melanoma skin cancers. He has devoted much of his academic career to HPV-related oropharyngeal cancer and working to broadly disseminate the message of preventive HPV vaccination.
