I chose to become a physician because I wanted to make a meaningful difference for people facing some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Personal experiences with serious illness and loss have shaped how I connect with patients and reinforced the importance of compassion, presence, and advocacy. I became a radiation oncologist because it combines advanced technology and human connection in a powerful way. Using precise treatments to control disease, relieve symptoms, and improve quality of life is a responsibility I take deeply to heart. It is a privilege to care for patients during vulnerable times, to listen closely, and to stand beside them with honesty and empathy.
