Dr. Grant De La Motte is a highly accomplished and board-certified neurologist whose extensive training, leadership experience, and passion for patient care have established him as a leading figure in neurology on the Central Coast of California. Dr. De La Motte earned his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Virginia, laying the groundwork for a career marked by academic excellence and specialized expertise. He went on to complete his Neurology residency at the University of California, San Diego, followed by a prestigious Neuromuscular fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco — two of the most respected medical institutions in the country. This rigorous training equipped him with a deep and comprehensive understanding of neurological conditions and neuromuscular disorders. Throughout his career, Dr. De La Motte has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the field of neurology. He notably served as the Neurology Department Chair and Stroke Care Medical Director at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the quality of neurological and stroke care delivered to patients in that community. His leadership in stroke care reflects his commitment to timely, effective, and life-saving treatment for patients facing some of medicine's most critical moments. Outside of his medical career, Dr. De La Motte is a man of many passions.
