Greg Engstrom, MD, PhD

Dr. Gregory Engstrom is a highly skilled general surgeon specializing in advanced robotic and laparoscopic procedures for conditions affecting the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. He also performs a wide range of endocrine surgeries, including thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, and adrenalectomy. Dr. Engstrom is dedicated to providing personalized and effective care for conditions such as pancreatectomy, hernia repair, skin cancer, hiatal hernia, soft tissue masses, and trauma. He is passionate about addressing upper and lower gastrointestinal tract pathologies, endocrine disorders, oncologic surgery, and abdominal wall hernias.

Dr. Engstrom completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Department of Surgery, in Little Rock, AR. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences School of Medicine. Further solidifying his scientific background, Dr. Engstrom holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Trinity College, Hartford, CT. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support.

Beyond his professional life, Dr. Engstrom enjoys staying active and spending quality time with his family. His passions include running, playing tennis, ice hockey, and traveling, which provide a well-rounded balance to his demanding surgical career.
