Hazel Z Lupena, MD

Hazel Lupena, MD, is board-certified pulmonary disease specialist with special medical interest in interventional pulmonology, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung cancer.

Dr. Lupena strives to establish a good relationship and communication line with each patient as the key to understanding their needs and, in turn, for them to understand their health and medical treatment. In the ICU, she believes success depends on teamwork among the medical staff, and effective communication again plays a vital role in achieving this.

Dr. Lupena is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians.

Outside of work, Dr. Lupena enjoys running and traveling.
