Imelda Chan-Villanueva, MD

Dr. Imelda Chan-Villanueva is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, reflecting her commitment to the highest standards of care. Dr. Chan-Villanueva earned her medical degree from the Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Institute of Medicine in Manila in 1994, and completed her Family Medicine Residency training in 2008 at Brazos Valley Family Medicine Residency, now known as Texas A&M Family Medicine Residency. Driven by a deep passion to serve the health and well-being of rural communities, she has lovingly practiced family medicine in Madisonville and College Station since then.

With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Chan-Villanueva has earned the unwavering trust and respect of her patients and their families through her dedication and compassionate approach to providing high-quality care. Her commitment to improving health extends beyond her hospital duties; she previously served as the Medical Director for nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities in nearby Centerville and Hearne, and as the Associate Medical Director for three different Hospice companies. Currently, she also serves as the Director of Cardiac Rehab for Madisonville Hospital, demonstrating her holistic commitment to her patients' well-being.
