Jacob Trapp, DO

Jacob Trapp, DO, a specialist in family medicine and primary care and a member or the American Osteopathic Association, has been a physician since 2017. His areas of interest include osteopathic manipulative treatment, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. He treats patients ages 7 and over at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Primary Care.

Dr. Trapp’s approach is to treat patients, as he put it, “as a single body, mind and spirit.” He strives to be respectful and to show patience with them.

He said he was inspired to become a physician by his belief that “directly helping others is the most fulfilling way to spend your life.” His specialty is based on his preference for outpatient and longitudinal care over short-term care.

Dr. Trapp earned his doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Michigan State University College, and completed his residency at the University of Missouri, Henry Ford Allegiance Health, and the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education.

Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife and their two dogs, and, he said, “I am a big Disney World fan.”
