Janet J Chieh, MD

Janet Chieh, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon who specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachments.

Dr. Chieh loves to interact with her patients. She finds it most gratifying when she can restore a person's sight and independence and thereby improve their quality of life.

Dr. Chieh is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology; American Society of Retinal Specialists; Washington Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons; Chinese American Ophthalmological Society; and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. She was named a 2019 Top Doctor by Seattle and Seattle Met magazines.

Away from work, Dr. Chieh enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, hiking and skiing.
