Dr. Thorns has been practicing medicine for over 20 years, developing a deep understanding of surgical care and patient needs. He provides comprehensive surgical evaluation and treatment for a variety of conditions, focusing on surgical areas such as gallbladder, colorectal, gastrointestinal, hernia, thyroid, pancreatectomy, and skin and soft tissue procedures. Prior to his medical degree, Dr. Thorns served as an Army Combat Medic at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX, and gained valuable nursing experience as a Dialysis Nurse at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Bethesda, MD, a CCU Nurse at Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, TX, and a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA.
