Jennifer Sizemore, PA-C

Jennifer Sizemore, a certified physician assistant, has been practicing medicine since 2000. She sees patients ages 16 and up at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Cardiology. Her wide array of interests include management and treatment of atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, hypertension and pacemakers. She has a special interest in dysautonomia disorders and cardiac arrhythmias. Sizmore was inspired to be a caregiver by her desire to help others understand how to live a longer, healthy life and to understand ways to improve overall physical and mental health. Sizemore says she chose her specialty because of cardiovascular disease being the leading cause of death worldwide, and especially in eastern Kentucky. She practices an integrative approach to medicine, emphasizing patient-centered care and prevention, and says she demonstrates humankindness “by treating my patients as I would want to be treated, showing empathy and compassion, and listening carefully and providing helpful, educational advice.” Sizemore has an undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology from Eastern Kentucky University, a bachelor’s degree in physician assistant students from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine. Her off-duty interests include traveling, reading, yoga, Pilates and playing with her pets. She calls her three children her greatest accomplishments in life.
