Joni Keith, APRN

Certified advanced practice registered nurse Joni Keith has been a caregiver since 2014, now seeing patients ages 12 and over at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine. Her areas of interest include critical care and cardiopulmonary medicine.

Her approach to care is holistic, and she demonstrates humankindness by taking the time to talk to patients and their families. “It gives them an opportunity to feel human and respected. It allows them to be vulnerable and trust your care,” she said.

Nance was inspired to be a caregiver by her sense of empathy and desire to help others. She chose her specialty when she began her career in the intensive care unit, “and quickly developed a passion for critical care.” Her favorite part of her job is the friendships she has with her co-workers.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University and a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Frontier Nursing University.
