Originally from Cuba, Jorge Lodeiro, MD, is excited to be in Kentucky and part of the Saint Joseph Health community. As a maternal fetal medicine specialist, he understands the OB-GYN/patient relationship well – not only from years of personal experience, but also through his family’s strong medical background. His wife is a retired OB-GYN, his brother is a neurosurgeon married to a nephrologist, his daughter is a psychiatrist, his son is a vascular surgeon, and his daughter-in-law is a bariatric surgeon. With deep roots in medicine and a commitment to collaboration, Dr. Lodeiro values open communication and mutual respect across all specialties.
“I understand that high-risk pregnancies can be stressful and overwhelming,” says Lodeiro. “But I am committed to providing compassionate and individualized care for all my patients.”
Dr. Lodeiro earned his medical degree from the University of Carabobo in Venezuela, after completing a Bachelor of Science at Liceo Martin J. Sanabria, also in Venezuela. He also obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of South Florida. Dr. Lodeiro completed his residencies at the Central Hospital of Valencia in Venezuela, Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, and the University of Connecticut Health Center. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in both obstetrics & gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine.
