Justin Schmidt, PA-C

Justin Schmidt is a dedicated and experienced certified Physician Assistant with a specialized focus in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education with a minor in Bible from Biola University in La Mirada, California, before going on to pursue his passion for healthcare, earning his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since earning his certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Justin has built an impressive career in pulmonology and critical care. He began his clinical career with Premier Medical Associates in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, followed by a position in emergency medicine with MMC Emergency Physicians in Santa Maria, California. He then served patients on California's Central Coast as a Pulmonology Physician Assistant with Central Coast Chest Consultants in San Luis Obispo before joining Pulmonary and Sleep Associates in Lakewood, Colorado and ultimately returning to work at Dignity Health in Santa Maria. Licensed as a Physician Assistant in California, Colorado, and previously Pennsylvania, Justin brings a broad range of clinical experience and expertise to his patients. Prior to his career in medicine, Justin demonstrated his commitment to serving others in a variety of ways, including as Director of Youth Ministries at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Costa Mesa, California, and as a Swim Instructor and Coach with the Irvine Novaquatics for a decade. These experiences reflect a lifelong dedication to mentorship, service, and community that continues to inform his compassionate approach to patient care.
