Kristen Wells, MD

Kristy Wells, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon who performs surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center and St. Anne Hospital. Dr. Wells has a special medical interest in emergency general surgery.

Dr. Wells takes a maternalistic approach to patient care. She seeks to understand each patient's goals and to help them achieve them. Her role is to assist, not judge. Dr. Wells’ focus on patient-centered care resulted in the receipt of an Award for Outstanding Patient Satisfaction for five consecutive years.

Away from work, Dr. Wells enjoys spending time with her kids and dogs, and getting to know the beautiful city of Seattle.
