Kristi Parris, ARNP, cares for heart failure patients ages 13 and older. Kristi strives to practice holistically, understanding that if she addresses the whole patient thoughtfully and compassionately, they will gain the emotional support required to fight their illness and the success rate for better health outcomes will increase. Additionally, she stresses patient education, acknowledging that a patient who understands what is happening to them and how they can be an active part of their health care success will have a much higher chance of reaching their health care goals. Her experience in geriatric primary care allows her to address a patient's cardiac concerns in the wider context of their overall health.
Kristi is a member of the American Nurses Association, is active in her local church, and has participated in medical missions to Nicaragua and Guatemala.
Away from work, Kristi enjoys spending time with her family, biking, playing with the dog, and watching her sons play soccer, baseball and football.
