Lauren Athay, MD

Lauren Athay, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who takes care of infants, children and adolescents. She emphasizes the promotion of health and wellness while also treating illnesses and injuries. Her special interests include lactation medicine and childhood obesity prevention and treatment. Dr. Athay has wanted to be a pediatrician since she was a young child and finds her profession very rewarding. Dr. Athay recognizes it “takes a village” to raise a child and truly appreciates the honor of participating in the “village” encompassing each of her patients. She is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of infants, children and adolescents, and takes an evidence-based approach to her practice of medicine. Dr. Athay is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Dr. Athay spends her spare time with her teen/young adult children and managing a busy household. She enjoys reading, attending musical theater and traveling and is trying to learn how to cook.
