Lena Heaton, APRN

Lena Heaton, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner, sees patients ages 14 and older at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been a caregiver since 2020 and is especially interested in preventive care.

Heaton strives to provide high-quality care to the community, through evidence-based practice and shared decision-making. She conveys humankindness by treating patients with dignity and respect. “My favorite part about the job is connecting with patients and helping them navigate the complex health care system,” she said.

She chose obstetrics/gynecology as her specialty when she did her clinical training at a Saint Joseph practice, “and absolutely loved it.” Heaton holds an undergraduate degree in geography and a master’s degree in nursing.
