Dr. Leonard Parilak was born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a small town named Belle Vernon. He is the fourth child of four. Dr. Parilak went to undergraduate and then medical school at Pennsylvania State University. His training was at Baylor for Internal Medicine, then The University of Florida for Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. His training included both coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. The Florida experience was a great educational opportunity where he got to work closely with two past and present chairmen of the American Heart Association. This helped the doctor to develop a style that includes not just diagnosing the problem, but by trying to understand the disease process and conveying that to his patients. After his fellowship, he practiced Cardiology and taught for a year at Baylor as an Assistant Professor. Then, Dr. Parilak moved to Las Vegas to be closer to family and friends and to establish his practice.
