Michael Todd Wood, MD

Michael T. Wood, MD, FACS, is a skilled general surgeon at Southwest Surgical Associates. He sees patients from the practice’s office locations in Sugar Land and Houston, Texas.

A native of the Houston area, Dr. Wood attended The Kinkaid School before completing his Bachelor of Arts at Rice University. He obtained his Medical Degree at the University of Texas-Houston.

Dr. Wood’s interest in business motivated him to return to Rice University for his MBA. His advanced degree made him perfect for the role of managing partner of Southwest Surgical Associates, a position he currently holds in addition to continuing with his surgical practice. He specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic general surgery and is committed to providing his patients with the most state-of-the-art surgical care.

He and his wife Amy, also a physician, have three lovely children. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Wood enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
