Nathan Avery, MD

Nathan Avery, MD, is a general surgeon who offers state-of-the-art surgical care to patients age 16 and older, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

Dr. Avery believes that good patient care requires clinical excellence, availability, patience, warmth and empathy. He strives to incorporate each of these into every patient encounter. He considers it particularly important to present his patients with all available treatment options, to achieve a mutual understanding and to ensure that their decisions are consistent with their values. He recognizes that there is no one best treatment that suits everyone.

Dr. Avery emphasizes communication with referring providers and is committed to keeping members of the care team well informed.

Outside of work, Dr. Avery enjoys spending time with family, recreational league soccer, hiking and camping.
