Neil P. Pathare, MD

Dr. Neil Pathare is a orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine doctor who has experience treating athletes and non-athletes of all ages and capabilities. Before moving to San Francisco, Dr. Pathare completed extensive, advanced fellowship training, helping football and hockey players on the New York Jets and Islanders continue their professional careers. In addition to his practice in San Francisco, he is the team physician for the City Football Club. Dr. Pathare is proficient in minimally invasive knee and shoulder surgery techniques, including advanced ACL reconstruction, meniscus repairs, cartilage restoration, ligament reconstruction, fracture care, tendon repair, shoulder tear corrections, and joint replacements. 

In my practice, I treat every patient as though they are a member of my family. I like to sit down with my patients to educate and involve them in the clinical process, focusing on patient-directed care, with the goal of optimal recovery. I always strive to provide the highest quality of care, with respect, compassion and attention to detail.
