Nicole Goodin, MD has practiced psychiatric medicine since 2015, focusing on depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and ADHD. She sees patients ages 5 and up at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Behavioral Health.
In her approach to care, Dr. Goodin said, “I try to get a full picture of the person and their symptoms. Then I work together with my patient to develop a treatment plan that improves their symptoms and get them feeling like themselves again.” Dr. Goodin said she was inspired to become a physician because it allows her to combine her interest in science and learning about the human body with her love of meeting people and developing relationships.
“I have always enjoyed listening to people's life stories,” she said. ”Psychiatry gives me the opportunity to learn about and understand people on a deeper level and help them through difficult periods of their life. … My favorite part of my day is seeing people get better.”
Dr. Goodin earned an undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Furman University and is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She served her residency and fellowship in pediatrics, adult psychiatry–child and adolescent psychiatry at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and University of Cincinnati. When she is not working she enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with her family.
