Dr. Parisa Khalighi, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon. She attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, and completed Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at the University of Colorado in Denver, CO. Born and raised in Seattle, she was thrilled to come home for fellowship at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA, where she completed two years of fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (FMIGS)/Complex Benign Gynecology. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists (ACOG), as well as the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). She is actively involved in the Virginia Mason Medical Center FMIGS/Complex Benign Gynecology fellowship program and is interested in patient safety and quality improvement research.
Patient-centered care is at the core of Dr. Khalighi’s practice, with a particular emphasis on surgical and medical management of chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and abnormal uterine bleeding.
Outside of work, Dr. Khalighi enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, as well as watching standup comedy and relaxing in the Pacific Northwest outdoors.
