Patrice Beliveau, MD

Patrice Beliveau, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has been practicing medicine since 1995. He is a fellow of both the Royal College of Surgery (Canada), and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He sees patients at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Orthopedics, and his areas of interest encompass all injuries or diseases related to bone and joint conditions, total hip and knee replacement, shoulder replacement and rotator cuff tear, fractures and dislocations. A former chief of staff at Saint Joseph London, Dr. Beliveau’s approach to care is to treat every patient like family and try to provide life-changing care for them. He was inspired to become a doctor by his surgeon father, citing his dedication to his patients and passion for his work. Similarly, he said, “By my work I can change people's’ lives and have a direct impact on improving their quality of everyday life.” He chose his specialty because, he said, “the biomechanics of our intervention intertwine with the physiology of the human being.” Dr. Beliveau received undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Montreal (Canada) and its medical school, and completed his orthopedic residency in Montreal. Away from work, he enjoys outdoor activities, hiking, biking, training bird dogs and upland bird hunting.
