With more than 13 years of practice experience, Dr. McNeely specializes in diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the digestive organs, with an emphasis on evidence-based medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and earned a medical degree from the University of South Alabama. He then completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. After four years of having a private practice in California, Dr. McNeely returned to New Orleans to help rebuild the gastroenterology program at Oschner Clinic, which was affected by Hurricane Katrina. He also previously served as a gastroenterologist in Beaumont, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. McNeely is an active member of professional organizations, such as the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
