Philip K Louie, MD

Philip Louie, MD, specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, degenerative spinal conditions, complex adult and pediatric spinal surgery, scoliosis, and reconstructive spine surgery.

Dr. Louie trained under some of the world's experts in spine surgery, where he learned minimally invasive spine surgery techniques that preserve muscle and decrease blood loss. In addition to focusing heavily on these minimally invasive techniques, he also emphasizes evidence-based medicine and involvement in research studies, when appropriate.

Dr. Louie approaches patient care as a journey he takes alongside each patient, where he witnesses their struggles and frustrations, is inspired by their drive to get better, and shares in their victories. He treats each patient as he would a family member, giving them a full understanding of what he is thinking and making recommendations that are in their best interest.

Away from work, Dr. Louie enjoys playing sports, fitness, being a Seattle Sports fan, coffee, espresso, family time and traveling.
