Dr. Norman graduated from Valencia High School in Placentia, California in 1987. Shortly after high school Dr. Norman served a two year mission for his church in the Jackson Mississippi Mission. After his missionary service he attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and graduated in 1995 with a BS in Biology. Dr. Norman was accepted to the California College of Podiatric Medicine and moved, with his wife and son, to San Francisco, California. Dr. Norman graduated from the California College of Podiatric in 1999 with his D.P.M. degree. He was accepted into a two year surgical residency program at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, California. After completing his two year residency program Dr. Norman moved his family to the Central Coast and purchased a private practice in Arroyo Grande, California. As Dr. Norman's Podiatric practice grew he moved to the city of Pismo Beach where he currently manages a busy practice and has been doing so for 20 years. Dr. Norman has been happily married to his wife Diana for 29 years and is the proud father of five children. He enjoys serving in the local community, is actively serving in his church and loves being with his family. Dr. Norman enjoys, off-roading in his jeep, movies, photography, concerts, hiking, fishing, DJing, and going to Disneyland with his daughters. Dr. Norman has a deep appreciation for the beauty of the Central Coast, considers this his home and loves the people of the Central Coast.
Dr. Richard J. Norman was born on February 25, 1969 at St Jude Hospital in Fullerton California. He grew up in Orange County, California and is the fifth child of six children. He grew up in a hard-working home with lots of constant actives including church, school and sports. Dr. Norman’s father worked for Rockwell International as a mechanical engineer working on cutting edge missile technology in the aerospace industry.
