Rodrigo Campana, MD

Rodrigo Campana, MD, was born in Peru and grew up in the Katy area. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin, where he studied Neurobiology in addition to his pre-med studies. He earned his medical degree from Texas A&M University. He interned at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston after completing medical school. After his internship, Dr. Campana joined the Texas A&M Health Science Center in Temple for his general surgery residency before moving on to Allegheny Health Network in PA, finishing his education with his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship. Being fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Campana is particularly interested in identifying and educating the at risk Hispanic population in the setting of cardiovascular disease. As a Latino, my goal is to provide insight and much-needed support for Hispanic patients that otherwise may be underserved in their communities in a way few people can provide. In October 2023, Dr. Campana became the first to perform a thoracic procedure with the DaVinci Robot in the Brazos Valley. Dr. Campana enjoys spending time with his wife, Longhorn Athletics, and his two dogs in his free time.
