Rodrigo Campana, MD

Dr. Campana is a dedicated cardiothoracic surgeon bringing a wide range of expertise to his practice. With a deep passion for healing, he is particularly interested in identifying and educating the at-risk Hispanic population regarding cardiovascular disease. As a Latino, Dr. Campana offers unique insight and much-needed support for Hispanic patients who might otherwise be underserved in their communities, providing care with a keen understanding of cultural nuances.

Born in Peru, Dr. Campana grew up in the Katy area. He completed his undergraduate studies in Neurobiology and pre-medicine at the University of Texas in Austin, before earning his medical degree from Texas A&M University. He then completed an internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. His general surgery residency was with the Texas A&M Health Science Center in Temple, followed by a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Allegheny Health Network in Pennsylvania. His fluency in both English and Spanish allows him to connect deeply with a diverse patient population.

Dr. Campana's commitment to advancing patient care is evident in his recent accomplishments. In October 2023, he achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first physician to perform a thoracic procedure with the DaVinci Robot in the Brazos Valley, showcasing his dedication to innovative and effective treatment methods. Beyond his professional life, Dr. Campana cherishes spending time with his wife and their two dogs. He is also an avid supporter of Longhorn Athletics.
