Dr. Ruchi Gaba specializes in thyroid cancer and complex thyroid disorders. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine-Endocrinology and the co-director of the Thyroid and Parathyroid at Dan L Duncan Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Gaba’s clinical expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of patients with endocrine neoplasia, especially advanced thyroid cancer; complicated thyroid disorders including hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroid nodules/FNA, and thyroid disease in pregnancy; and caring for patients with atypical diabetes such as Ketosis Prone Diabetes, which is the focus of her research interests.
Dr. Gaba received her medical degree from University College of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. She completed her residency in internal medicine at University of Alabama at Birmingham and a clinical fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Baylor College of Medicine.
She is a member of the American College of Clinical Endocrinology, Endocrine Society, American Thyroid Association, Indian Doctor's Association, and the Texas Endocrine Association.
Dr. Gaba is the recipient of the “Women in Excellence Award” for her exceptional contribution to the issues that affect women at BCM and in the larger community; and is dedicated to access and equity in medical education and healthcare through transformative leadership and practice.
