Ryan Macht M.D., M.S. completed his General Surgery residency at Boston Medical Center in 2018. During this time, he obtained a Masters Degree in Health Services Research from the Boston University School of Public Health and completed a 2 year research fellowship focusing on quality improvement and patient safety. Following this, he completed his fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at UCSF. He is interested in the management of obesity and metabolic disease, including pharmacologic, endoscopic and surgical treatments. His research is focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and improving outcomes in bariatric and foregut surgery. He will be providing care for general and minimally invasive surgery patients at Sequoia Hospital.
Care Philosophy: I strive to provide patient-centered and compassionate care for a variety of surgical conditions. My goal is to help patients understand their condition and work with them to find the best treatment option for them, whether it involves an operation or not.
