Samantha B. McCarey, FNP-C

Samantha McCarey, FNP-C, has been caring for patients as a nurse since 2010. Her experience in geriatrics, labor and delivery, hospice, and pediatrics has shaped her compassionate, whole-person approach to family medicine. After becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017, she was grateful to continue serving the community where she was raised and has spent her career.

Samantha joined Burns Family Practice in 2020 and proudly partnered with Dr. Burns in 2025. She is especially passionate about helping patients manage diabetes, obesity, thyroid conditions, and cardiovascular disease. She values taking time to listen, building trusting relationships, and working alongside patients to create realistic, personalized plans that support their long-term health and well-being.

Outside of the office, Samantha enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason, whether they are golfing, traveling, or enjoying the outdoors. Together, they have four children, one grandson, and an Australian Labradoodle named Oakley. Family time, staying active/healthy, and traveling the country to different tropical destinations are some of her favorite ways to recharge.
