I became a medical provider because at the tender age of 8, as I watched my grandfather deteriorate from complications from AIDS and eventually pass away. I told myself that one day I will be the doctor who will walk side by side with my patients through the good and bad; always willing to offer a smile, a laugh, a hug, and most importantly unconditional compassion. I enjoy broad spectrum medicine, but I truly enjoy women's health, adolescent medicine, and chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. In my free time I enjoy weight lifting, art museums, and amusement parks. I also enjoy enjoy participating in walks to raise awareness and contributions for mental illness, cancers, and heart disease. It brings me joy to volunteer helping the homeless and participating in talks at schools to help influence the next generation in a positive manner.
The good physician treats the disease, the GREAT physician treats the patient that has the disease -William Osler.
I believe in creating life-long connections; treating the mind, body, and spirit to touch the humanity of those I am entrusted to care for.
