Shingo Chihara, MD

Shingo Chihara, MD, specializes in general infectious diseases, travel medicine, medical microbiology, non-tuberculosis mycobacteria and caring for patients with HIV. Dr. Chihara enjoys working in an area of medicine where patients improve with intervention. He also enjoys the detective work often required to arrive at a diagnosis.

For Dr. Chihara, all care must be individualized. All patients have different values, goals of care and health histories which must be considered when developing a plan of care. He finds it gratifying to help patients along during their healing process.

Away from work, Dr. Chihara enjoys cycling, baseball, and spending time with his wife and children.
