Stacey Greenwell-Osborne, a nurse practitioner since 2018, began working as a nurse in 2011. A primary care provider, her areas of interest include diabetes, hypertension, elevated cholesterol and weight loss management. She sees patients ages 18 and up at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Primary Care.
Greenwell-Osborne said her approach to care is to treat every patient as an individual, “and that we work together as a group to ensure patient gets the best care possible. … As a family primary care provider, I really believe in the importance of establishing a good rapport with your patients to work together to provide the best health care.”
Her parents inspired her career as a health care provider. Her mother was a nurse and she shadowed her when she saw patients. Watching her father being treated for lung cancer also inspired her to be a caregiver. Greenwell-Osborne chose primary care as a specialty, “so that I could assist in taking care of the patient as a whole,” she said. “My favorite part of this job is getting to meet new people daily, continuing to care for my patients to see great outcomes, and to help others daily with their chronic health conditions.”
She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisville and a master’s degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University. Away from work, she watches her children play sports and enjoys reading.
