Tara Sarabakhsh, DO

My decision to pursue a career in medicine developed gradually during my young adulthood, fueled by a love for math and science and shaped through volunteer experiences in local hospitals. Inspired by family physicians who prioritized advocacy and compassionate care, I chose to follow a similar path. It has been a privilege to care for my patients through some of their most vulnerable moments.

Building a trusting relationship is at the heart of my practice. I believe that truly listening, getting to know each patient, and forming a personal connection are essential to providing the best care. As a family medicine and lifestyle medicine board-certified physician, I emphasize incorporating the six pillars of lifestyle medicine — including nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoiding risky substances, and fostering positive relationships — before initiating medication when appropriate.

Outside of clinical practice, I am committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle through activities such as yoga, hiking, and running. I am dedicated to partnering with my patients to promote long-term health and well-being through evidence-based lifestyle interventions.
