Tareq Abuasab, MD

Dr. Tareq Abuasab specializes in acute and chronic leukemias and malignant hematology. He is an Assistant Professor of Assistant Professor of Medicine - Hematology and Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Abuasab’s research interests include bringing new clinical trials to patients with leukemia and other blood cancers. Dr. Abuasab earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan. He completed fellowships in internal medicine and hematology at Share Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he served as the chief fellow. He later was a Clinical Fellow in the Leukemia Program at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. In addition to English, Dr. Abuasab speaks Arabic and Hebrew.
