Dr. Kanomata enjoys volunteering time for good causes. He has a passion for providing health talks and teaching individuals how to improve their lifestyle and reduce chronic diseases. He has served good neighbor house, a medical free clinic, from 1993-2011. He has also participated in a number of overseas mission trips serving in medical clinics as well as volunteered as camp physician and first aid instructor at the Young Disciple Youth Camp. Dr. Kanomata has received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance in both their Heart/Stroke Program and in the Diabetic Physician Recognition Program. The programs were developed in conjunction with the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to recognize physicians who demonstrate high quality care for patients with diabetes and a cardiac condition or who have had stroke.
He believes in developing trusting relationships with his patients through open communication by which health and wellness can be attained. This is best achieved through a working partnership between a doctor and a patient who share the same goal.
