Thomas Troy, MD

I’m a born and bred Ohioan. I grew up with a love of science, soccer, and the outdoors. My interest in science and my desire to apply it to help people eventually led me to pursue a career in medicine. I attended the University of Cincinnati for medical school. There, I discovered my passion for primary care. I loved taking care of people of all ages, genders, and walks of life, and so I decided that my medical specialty would be family medicine. After medical school, I moved to Utah to begin my family medicine residency. I chose the University of Utah because of its exceptional family medicine training, world-class sports medicine training, and its proximity to the mountains. At the conclusion of my training, my wife and I decided to return closer to home and to the great outdoors of Kentucky. I chose Saint Joseph because of all the people I met here during my interviews - everyone is so helpful and friendly. I’m excited to be a part of this community!
