I have been practicing podiatric medicine and foot surgery in my hometown of Bakersfield since 1989. I practice out of a busy orthopedic office which has several other specialties. I am centrally located downtown with easy access to our freeways. I did two years of postgraduate surgical residency and as a foot surgeon, certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, I perform corrections of most foot deformities including bunions, ingrown toenails, hammertoes, neuromas, plantar warts, infections, wound care, and others. But more importantly, I believe non-surgical treatment should always be tried first when possible. This includes treatments such as diabetic foot care, biomechanical and orthotic care, nail and callus trimming, skin care, fracture treatment, padding of lesions and structural imbalances, flat feet, and children's feet. I see all ages of patients. I believe in spending time with my patients and take the time to listen in order to help them. By doing this the patient's problem can often be successfully treated by conservative means. As American medicine changes in the way it is delivered, I still try to give my patients what they need with a caring attitude.
