Timothy James, MD

Timothy James, MD, is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with special training and experience in repair and replacement of aortic valves, repair of aortic root aneurysms, and repair of aneurysms or dissections of the aorta, particularly in the aortic arch. He has a proven track record of outstanding clinical results and patient satisfaction.

Dr. James believes good outcomes in cardiac surgery depend on a high level of surgeon involvement in all aspects of care, along with clear communication among patient and family, surgeon and clinical teams. Communication begins with a detailed preoperative conversation with patient and family, reviewing the patient’s condition and options for treatment, and ends when the patient is well into their successful recovery at home and returns to the care of their primary physicians.

Dr. James is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
