Tyler Spata, MD

Tyler Spata, MD, was born and raised in Houston, TX. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin. Dr. Spata earned his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his general surgery residency at The Ohio State University, where he also earned his Master's in Medical Sciences, before completing his cardiothoracic fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Spata joined the Bryan-College Station area and St. Joseph Health Cardiovascular Associates in October 2023. He is proficient in Spanish and has extensive training in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, with a special interest in Robotic Thoracic Surgery. In his free time, Dr. Spata enjoys time with his family and longhorn sports.
