Philosophy of care:
My pursuit of medicine has not only stemmed from my drive to help people live longer but also improve the quality of their lives. Electrophysiology allows me the opportunity to provide both via evidence-based therapies, constantly improving technology and methodology making these practices more efficacious and safer. Thus, providing individualized and collaborative care for patients.
Special Clinical Interests:
I am interested in new emerging technologies to treat arrhythmias such as pulse field ablation, that decreases risk of procedure complications and I have been actively performing animal research in this realm. Additionally, I continue to pursue my interest in research within the field and have been involved in publishing literature in the utility of patient reported measured outcomes (validated patient questionnaires) in improving depression, anxiety, and quality of life in patients with ventricular arrhythmias and implantable cardioverter defibrillators. Another interest of mine is the emerging therapy of cardiac conduction system pacing as an alternative to traditional cardiac resynchronization therapy.
Personal Interests:
I enjoy spending time with my wife and two young kids, recreational running, strength conditioning and hiking. I also enjoy reading and learning about philosophy and practices of various cultures and societies.
