Vincent Aquino, MD

Dr. Vincent Aquino, a board-certified interventional cardiologist, is a recognized leader in cardiovascular medicine dedicated to serving the communities of The Woodlands and North Houston. He specializes in the prevention and treatment of heart disease, focusing on interventional cardiology for coronary artery disease and the management of congestive heart failure. Dr. Aquino is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology and is deeply committed to providing each patient with comprehensive and compassionate care.

Dr. Aquino has been practicing medicine since 1985, bringing decades of experience and expertise to his patients. Educated at Florida State University, he earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center, followed by a cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Texas-Houston affiliated teaching hospitals, Hermann Hospital and St. Luke's Texas Heart Institute. As a member of the Woodlands North Houston Heart Center, Dr. Aquino has been instrumental in cultivating one of Houston's most progressive and respected cardiology groups, ensuring the highest quality of care for all patients.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Aquino has held numerous leadership roles and contributed significantly to the field of cardiology. He served as president of the Houston Cardiology Society in the year 2000 and was Chief of Staff at Houston Northwest Medical Center in 1999. His professional appointments also include Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services from 1995-1997, Director of Cardiology at Memorial-Hermann Hospital-The Woodlands from 1986-1988, and more recently, Chief of Staff at the St. Luke's Woodlands Hospital, where he currently serves as Director of Cardiovascular Services. Dr. Aquino was also a catalyst in developing the North Houston Division of the American Heart Association (AHA) and has published several clinical reports and basic research articles in prestigious peer-review journals, including Circulation and New England Journal of Medicine.

Dr. Aquino believes that the greatest impact in heart attack prevention comes from simple patient awareness of risk, allowing for the best use of modern diagnostic techniques, preventive measures, and treatments. He has been honored as one of Houston's Top Doctors and listed in Top Doctors in America for his clinical excellence and dedication.
