Vivek Menon, MD

Dr. Vivek Menon is a compassionate and highly skilled cardiovascular specialist, board-certified in Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He brings extensive expertise in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease to The Heart Institute of East Texas, where he will be seeing patients in Lufkin and Nacogdoches. Dr. Menon offers advanced diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of cardiac conditions, specializing in heart rhythm disorders.

Dr. Menon earned his medical degree magna cum laude from Charles University – Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Czech Republic. Following a post-doctoral research fellowship at Emory University, he completed his internship and residency training at Morehouse School of Medicine, where he honorably served as Chief Resident. He then pursued a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Magnolia Regional Health Center, followed by a distinguished fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where he was appointed Chief Electrophysiology Fellow.

Prior to joining The Heart Institute of East Texas, Dr. Menon held clinical and academic appointments at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. His roles included Clinical Associate in Hospital Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. His commitment to advancing medical knowledge is further reflected in his service as an official reviewer for the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine and the Journal of General Internal Medicine.

Dr. Menon is a proud member of several professional associations, including the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the Heart Rhythm Society.
