Warren Shaikun, MD

Dr. Shaikun is a board-certified and fellowship-trained physician specializing in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Shaikun grew up in Kentucky, attending the University of Kentucky for his Bachelor of Science. He then earned his Master of Science in Anatomy and Neurobiology, followed by his Doctor of Medicine, both from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine Residency and Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, he returned to Louisville. He has been dedicated to patient care in Louisville since 2003.

Dr. Shaikun provides patient care with empathy and a good-natured approach, striving to find the correct balance between specific medical therapy and basic lifestyle modifications for optimal health outcomes. He believes that the most rewarding part of being a physician is the team aspect of the work, having been blessed to collaborate with outstanding staff who are dedicated to delivering excellent patient care. He maintains affiliations with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American College of Chest Physicians.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Shaikun enjoys music, attending concerts, and playing guitar. He also loves traveling to interesting locations with his family and following UK athletics.
