Whitney DeLuna, FNP

Whitney DeLuna, FNP, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to diverse patient populations. She currently serves adult and geriatric patients with all stages of chronic kidney disease, diabetes, hypertension, and associated comorbidities, collaborating with nephrologists to slow disease progression and improve quality of life. Whitney also manages patients undergoing hemodialysis, adjusts care plans, and educates patients and families on disease management, dialysis options, lifestyle changes, and kidney transplant processes. She believes in a patient-centered philosophy, always listening first to fully understand each individual’s needs before developing a treatment plan, which allows her to build trust and provide comprehensive, personalized care.

Prior to her current role, Whitney served as the sole provider at Wasilla Internal Medicine, offering comprehensive primary care for acute and chronic conditions. She developed individualized care plans, monitored patient outcomes, and counseled patients and families on preventive care, disease management, and lifestyle modifications. Additionally, at Imaging Associates in Wasilla, Alaska, she was the primary point of contact for patients navigating breast imaging, breast cancer, and high-risk breast lesions, collaborating with oncology, surgery, and radiology to ensure seamless care delivery. She educated patients on breast health, connected them with community resources, and participated in breast health awareness events, demonstrating her commitment to providing holistic support.

Whitney earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN-FNP) from Walden University in 2022, holding national certification through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Before transitioning to advanced practice, she gained invaluable experience as a registered nurse, holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas Tech University and an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Trinity Valley Community College. Her diverse background has equipped her with a profound understanding of patient care, from immediate needs to long-term well-being, and she brings strong skills in teamwork, problem-solving, patient education, and communication to every interaction.
