Our patients have access to valuable resources to help manage their condition:
Continuous Glucose Monitor: This take-home device monitors your blood sugar every five minutes for three days, providing detailed data on your personal patterns of glucose highs and lows, which can be very insightful for understanding your body.
Insulin Pump Training: Learning to use an insulin pump can be highly beneficial. It helps to better match insulin delivery with your food and activity, potentially avoiding significant highs and lows. This can lead to a lower A1C for better overall health, and using a single type of insulin in a pump may also offer cost savings. Additionally, pumps eliminate the need for multiple daily injections; you'll simply insert a new pump site every three days.
Diabetes group visits provide an opportunity to meet with a health provider and a health educator. This type of visit is centered around you and your need to manage your diabetes in an efficient and satisfying way.
