We accept most insurance plans, which often require a copay for ER visits. If you’re uninsured, we’ll provide care regardless of your ability to pay and help you explore financial assistance options.

Our new Emergency & Trauma Center is the most advanced in the Brazos Valley region. Our Level III trauma center was carefully designed by medical professionals to improve your care, speed up response times and increase comfort.
As a Level III trauma center, we provide 24/7 access to general surgeons, emergency doctors and specialists in orthopedics, neurosurgery, radiology, anesthesia and critical care. We also offer trauma prevention programs, continuous staff training and a quality care review process.

Yes. St. Joseph Health Air Med 12 is the only air medical transport team based in the Brazos Valley. In partnership with MedTrans, we safely transport patients to hospitals across the region, including in Houston, Austin and Temple
We handle a wide range of emergencies and injuries. If a patient needs highly specialized care like cardiac surgery or hemodialysis, we coordinate with Level I trauma centers for additional support.
No appointment is necessary. Our ER operates 24/7, providing care for emergencies whenever they arise.
Bring a photo ID, insurance card, a list of medications and any relevant medical records. If needed, bring someone who can help provide information about your condition.
You will need to fill out forms for registration, including your personal and medical information. This may involve providing details about your insurance, medications, allergies and medical history. The following forms can be downloaded, printed and completed prior to your visit:

Admission depends on your condition. Many patients are treated and discharged, while others may require further care and hospitalization. If you need to be admitted to the hospital, your medical records will be immediately available to any of our health care providers who will be taking care of you.
St. Joseph Health offers an online patient record request tool, which is easy to use and free. You'll need to verify your identity by uploading a photo of your driver's license, which you can take with your phone or computer.
You may also view a portion of your medical records through our patient portal.
We accept most major insurance plans, but since coverage is frequently updated, we recommend that you check with your insurance company for details or call our office so we can help you verify coverage.
