The hospital cafeteria is located on the first floor, just down the hall from the front lobby. Our café features freshly grilled favorites, homestyle meals, a made-from-scratch soup and salad bar, and desserts. It’s open Monday – Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Our gift shop is run by St. Luke’s Health Brazosport Hospital volunteers and offers a variety of snacks, flowers, plants, cards, stamps and basic toiletries.

St. Luke's Health Brazosport volunteers have been around since October 1958. The organization has grown from sitting with children in the pediatric ward to now serving in multiple areas in the hospital. Our volunteers range in all ages and they make a tremendous difference in the lives of our patients as well as our employees.

If your physician schedules outpatient services at St. Luke’s Health Brazosport, you can make your registration process quicker by calling us at (979) 299-2888. This preregistration is available for any testing or procedures your doctor orders at our hospital.
Please have your insurance card and physician’s orders ready when you call. We’ll verify your personal and insurance information and provide you with an estimate of any amounts due. When you arrive, you’ll be fast-tracked through the outpatient registration department in the main lobby and directed to your procedure area.
Some insurance plans require precertification for certain tests and procedures. Check your insurance card for instructions. If precertification is required, you or a family member should contact your insurance provider as soon as possible—even for emergency admissions.
We will need a copy of your Medicare card to verify eligibility and process your Medicare claim. You should be aware that the Medicare program specifically excludes payment for certain items and services, such as cosmetic surgery, some oral surgery procedures, personal comfort items, hearing evaluations and others. Deductibles and copayments are also your responsibility.
We will need a copy of your Medicaid card. Medicaid also has payment limitations on a number of services and items. Medicaid does not pay for the cost of a private room unless medically necessary.
You can speak to one of our financial counselors about financial arrangements. A hospital representative is also available to assist you in applying for Medicaid or other government assistance programs. We also have financial assistance programs to make care more affordable. We’ll set up your account, review your insurance, conduct a nursing interview and assessment, and complete any required testing (like labs or EKGs). Additional tests may be needed if your procedure involves anesthesia.
When you see a doctor, health care provider or visit a health care facility that is not in your health insurance network, such as in an emergency, you may incur other costs or be responsible for the entire bill.
The No Surprises Act protects consumers who have health coverage through their employer (including federal, state, or local government employers), the Health Insurance Marketplace® or an individual health plan purchased directly from an insurance company.

Our chapel, located on the first floor, is open 24/7 for prayer, meditation or worship. To request a chaplain, ask your health care provider.
