Benjamin (B.J.) Predum, MBA, FACHE

B.J. is California’s Central Coast Market President for Dignity Health. Previously, he led Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield (Downtown and Southwest campuses) as President and CEO from July 2022 - March 2024.

With more than 29 years in health care, B.J. began his career as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. His leadership journey in Catholic Health Care, starting in 2011, includes roles such as Regional Vice President, Chief Operating Officer (COO); Regional Director, Radiology Services; Chief Administrative Officer; and Director of Radiology and Cardiovascular Diagnostics.

B.J. holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and an MBA with a specialization in Health Care from Cornerstone University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).

A Grand Rapids, Michigan native, B.J. now resides in Bakersfield, California, with his wife, Leah, of 25 years. He enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his two college-aged daughters.
